Main Conference Speaker:
Bishop Bonnie Radden

Bishop Bonnie L. Radden
Senior Pastor Refiner’s Fire Fellowship
United Church of Christ
Bishop West Coast Region,
The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries

Bishop Bonnie Radden was called to ministry at 16 years old when she served in the mission fields of Mexico as a member of First Federated Church.  In July 2011 it was her great honor to be elevated to the position of bishop by Bishop, Rev. Dr. Yvette Flunder.  Bishop Radden focuses on cultivating servant-leaders, so that they may, with humility and authority carry out God’s message of hope, through the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. She is a compassionate minister committed to the ministry of reconciliation and focuses in compelling those who have shunned God to come home.  Bishop Radden embraces radical inclusivity.  She views ministry as privileged that God has graced her with the opportunity to serve His people and in doing so, serve God-self.
Bishop Radden intends to support pastor-leaders both spiritually and in the acquisition of resources so that they will thrive and be fruitful.  Bishop Radden also endeavors to strengthen the hand of her Presiding Bishop, Rev. Dr. Yvette Flunder, through her oversight of the West Coast Region.
Bishop Radden’s life’s work and ministry has been dedicated to serve as God’s hands on earth.  Some of her personal ministry has been directed outside of the U.S.  She makes regular visits to Mexico and holds joint services with the congregation of Las Memorias.

In 2007 Bishop Radden became involved with The Arthouse Group, an orphanage in Harare Zimbabwe, Africa.  It was recently named The Bonnie Radden Children’s Foundation, by those she serves.  The foundation assists children living under dire circumstances throughout the region.  One of its main focuses is meeting the need of early age education so that students can contribute to the wholeness of their environment when they become adults.
Bishop Radden recently acquired sponsorship for Children’s Animal Project, through Project Second Life, Antioch University Los Angeles. It is a project in which children fashion colorful, indigenous animal figures, out of discarded soda cans and scrap metal.  Their artwork is sold to support them. This sponsorship will not only create an income stream for the children, but will instill a sense of contribution to their own lives and the lives’ of those around them.
Bishop Radden performed her undergraduate education work in business management.  In 2005, she obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Management (BSM) from the University of Phoenix.  She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in June 2011.
